![]() I'm not trying to be rude, but you don't seem to be grasping what I'm saying so I'll put it in bold text so maybe you'll get it this time. I always played the game with the settings I said above, and the mouse movement is smooth and responsive like any other game. Yes I did, cause that issue doesn't exist if you know how to configure the game, like I said above.Ġ.2~0.5 is the default mouse speed, a normal mouse speed in a game is around 2.5, which explains the slow mouse movement in this game. When looking down your sights, any subtle movements of the mouse will still not translate on screen, regardless of how high you set this option. I'm aware of this "fix" you posted, but it only masks the issue by making the mouse input super responsive and, frankly, unwieldy. I'll reiterate, it's not about the speed of the mouse movement in general, it's about the "dead zone" when in aim mode that requires you to move the mouse a certain distance before any input at all will be registered on screen. Mouse input, when aiming down the sights, is demonstrably broken in this game, because it treats it the same as analog stick input from a game controller. ![]() Originally posted by Kobi Blade:I must say that is a lie, the part you say there will always be lag and sluggishness, if you know how to set the game properly, the mouse control will work properly.ĭid. The settings.txt is located at C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\Dead Space Increase the mouse speed on the settings.txt from 0.2~0.5 to a proper normal mouse speed (2.5~3.0) and it will work normally without any lag and sluggish controls. I must say that is a lie, the part you say there will always be lag and sluggishness, if you know how to set the game properly, the mouse control will work properly.Įnable V-Sync on the GCC (Graphics Control Center) Even if you fix the floaty, inconsistent aiming speed, you still have a massive dead zone to contend with, which makes it all feel very imprecise. Hiawatha is right though there is always going to be some degree of lag or "sluggishness" to the mouse in this game. ![]() Ideally, you want to disable it in the game options, but make sure it's enabled in your graphic's card control panel, or use a third party program to manually limit your frame rate to 60. ![]() Originally posted by McSwifty:I wouldn't recommend just disabling VSync completely, since this can mess with the game engine and introduce all sorts of bugs, some game-breaking. ![]()
